Branch Manager
The Branch Manager oversees the origination, processing, and closing of mortgage loans at an origination office. Under the direction of the President/CEO/COO, the Branch Manager ensures compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company standards, while managing the office's operations, including loan originators, sales associates, and support staff. A minimum of five years of mortgage lending experience is typically required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the origination, processing, and closing of mortgage loans as directed by The Mortgage Firm, Inc.
- Prepare and forward all necessary reports, documents, and memoranda to the corporate office.
- Ensure compliance with all investor, federal, state, and company policies, including Safe ACT, FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA, RESPA, ECOA, TILA, and HMDA.
- Attend mandatory company meetings, held 1-2 times annually.
- Maintain full-time commitment to The Mortgage Firm, Inc., avoiding any outside employment in related fields without written consent.
- Uphold legal and ethical conduct with customers, vendors, and the public.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company-related documents and information.
- Ensure timely forwarding of invoices, accounts payable, and collected fees to the corporate office.
- Secure liability insurance for any automobiles used during employment and any other required coverage.
- Prohibit the opening of any banking accounts or signing of contracts that would obligate The Mortgage Firm, Inc.
- Upon termination, promptly return all proprietary items, including loan files and licenses, to the corporate office.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong financial management abilities.
- Proficient in Encompass, Microsoft Products, and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, and FHLMC loan products.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent successful mortgage or branch management experience.
- High school diploma required.
- Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and AUS systems.
- Highly detailed, organized, and capable of multitasking.
- Professional image and demeanor.
